Recent Work
I worked on my foot speed last class and made reasonable headway in having lightning fast feet on the double bass pedals. These chops will make me a much more versatile drummer since I could use them in fills for multiple playing styles.

Blast Beats
Lately I've been very focused on blast beats, which is very dependent on hand speed and keeping time through all of it. I'm having a particular bit of trouble with this because it is all based on chops that I have yet to develop. This is a necessity for a song that I will be covering, so work will be done, as in hours of hand speed work outs on objects with next to no rebound.

Technique Studies
I went onto youtube and found out some interesting things about metal drumming. I learned about beginner, intermediate, and advanced metal fills, single and double bass technique, blast beats, and my miscellaneous information included drum tuning (just for good sound during practice). Familiarizing with the Double Bass
I got some Mapex Falcon double bass pedals not too long ago and have been messing around on them for the past few days. I'm getting a good idea of what I'm already capable of, so it's time to get technical. I'll have to look up double bass technique as well as practicing my single stroke hand speed in order to improve on my metal drumming in general. from there i can cover some hardcore songs and/or make some quick beats of my own.
